The Castlefield Rooms are the private event spaces above Dukes92 and Albert’s Shed, in the heart of Manchester City Centre. We offer boutique, out of the ordinary spaces to host your event. Packed with character, the 3 stylish event spaces boast stunning views of the Bridgewater Canal, with complimentary parking and easy access to all major transport links. Renowned for the high levels of service alongside cuisine from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant. The Castlefield Rooms can cater for events between 30 and 250 guests. The Gallery, Brindley Room and Merchant Room are sought after settings for any private event or party. Whether you’re looking for your engagement party with canapés and fizz, an impressive corporate dinner or a relaxed BBQ birthday celebration– with our dedicated team on hand, we ensure every last detail of your event is carried out to perfection. From fashion shows to BBQs on the Gallery Balcony overlooking the Castlefield Basin. With our restaurant kitchens and extensive bar selections, we are unable to accommodate external catering but instead offer a wide variety of private dining, buffet and canape menus.

The Merchant Room
The Merchant Room is a contemporary addition to the Castlefield Rooms and uses roof glazing to maximise the feeling of space and light. The floor to ceiling windows complete the modern feel with unparalleled dual aspect views of our surrounding Castlefield Basin landscape. An elegant and modern aspect of the venue which provides all the glitz and glamour required for any special event.
The Brindley Room
This is a stylish function space – its loft–style roof beams give away its humble beginnings as a carpenter’s workshop. Add to this a strictly minimalist dĂ©cor you are left with an elegant space in which to create your own perfect event. The Brindley Room is beautiful on its own but can be brought to life with fairy lights, floral accents or coloured uplighters. It comes complete with all the facilities your guests will need. A perfect space for any time of year!
The Gallery Bar and Balcony
As the name suggests, the space is comprised of a mezzanine gallery within Dukes 92. Recently refurbished in a modern and comfortable style this is the perfect location for smaller receptions and events. The eaves of the old stable block provide a wonderful intimacy, whilst the spectacular new external balcony overlooks Dukes 92’s bustling forecourt with impressive views over the Castlefield Basin.
